Hyderabad girl drowns in drain after falling through broken slab
Following the tragedy, the Opposition demanded the resignation of Telangana Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao.
The two-year-old girl, who was abducted while sleeping next to her mother, was found in a drain near Kochuveli railway station nearly 20 hours after she went missing.
Police rushed the child to General Hospital for medical examination. Hospital authorities said that her condition is stable.
The two-year-old daughter sleeping next to her mother was abducted from Pettah in Thiruvananthapuram in the early hours of Monday.

The child, Mary, is the daughter of Amardeep and Rabeena Davi from Bihar.
The girl, who is the youngest of four children of the couple, reportedly went missing at around 1 am.
The family is residing at an isolated place close to a railway track near All Saints’ College.
The police said the family, who is believed to have migrated to Hyderabad, has been visiting Thiruvananthapuram every year for about two months to sell honey.
